Mid-range electromagnetic marker 3M™ EMS 1258, intended for marking the key points along the marked water or sewer line, such as:

• Intersection point with another underground line,
• Point of a change of direction of the underground line,
• Cable box location,
• Other important point along the path of the underground line,
• Passive marker, 

The mid-range marker can be used down to the depth of 1.8 m under the ground surface.
